Spring has sprung and the garden changes from day to day. The deer chomped on the daylily leaves when they first emerged, but no serious damage to date. I will have to spray the plants again, as the rain has washed off the first application of liquid fence. The blue woodland phlox is spread throughout my garden and is so beautiful this time of year.
I attended a spring time perennial seminar at Brookside Gardens years ago and received the geranium on the left for my efforts working in their garden. Lily of the Valley is a delicate and fragrant part of the spring garden.
I dug up Jack in the Pulpit from the woods behind my home and transplanted it to the garden many years ago.
